Food HygienePlastic plates, cups and metal utensils are kept at the Club and stored in a cupboard. Although the plates, cups and utensils are cleaned after each use the items are put through a dishwasher each Friday during term time. In terms of refreshments: Juice is stored at the Club within a locked cupboard. A quantity is
made-up each evening within a large container and any remaining is disposed
off. Children attending the breakfast club (prior to 0800) will be offered a healthy breakfast consisting of cereal, fruit and a drink. All food items are taken in daily; fruit being purchased the evening before whereas milk being purchased on the current morning. Cereals will be stored in sealed containers. Plastic plates, cups and metal utensils will be stored and cleaned as per the After School Club. By using the product label, all food will be checked for gluten, wheat, and nut content in the event of any of the children having allergies.
